FC AshantiGold ’04 and Port City have both secured promotion to the 2026–27 Ghana Premier League after dominant campaigns in the Access Bank Division One League.
Port City earned their first-ever top-flight qualification from Zone Three, sealing promotion with four matches to spare.
They would be officially crowned champions on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Kukurantumi Ohene Park during their Matchday 28 fixture against WAFA SC in a coronation ceremony.
The occasion is set to attract distinguished personalities from the Ghana Football Association, traditional authorities, former players, and representatives from corporate Ghana.
Joining Port City in the elite division next season would be FC AshantiGold ’04, who have also enjoyed a commanding campaign in Zone Two.
AshantiGold’s promotion was confirmed with three games to spare following a resounding 4–1 home victory over Skyy FC.
AshantiGold currently tops Zone Two with 58 points, holding an unassailable 11-point advantage over second-place Dwarfs, who have 47.
With only nine points left to play for, the Miners’ dominance this season has officially guaranteed their place in the Ghana Premier League for the 2026–27 campaign.
With only one slot for teams in Zone One, the likes of Tamale City and Real Tamale United would be hoping to secure a return to the top division.
