SIGA distances itself from Ghana CEO Summit

The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has distanced itself from the upcoming 10th Ghana CEO Summit and Expo, stating that it has not authorized any partnership or collaboration with the event organizers, CEO Network Ghana.

In a press release issued on Thursday, May 21, 2026, SIGA said it had observed that CEO Network Ghana, also known as Chief Executives Network Ghana, was presenting the Authority as a “collaborating partner” in promotional materials for the summit.

According to SIGA, the use of its name and institutional identity was unauthorized and misleading, as no formal agreement existed between the Authority and the event organizers.

“The Authority wishes to state clearly that such representations are unauthorized, misleading, and do not reflect any existing relationship or agreement between SIGA and CEO Network Ghana,” the statement said.

SIGA disclosed that it had formally objected to the use of its name and requested the immediate removal of all references linking the Authority to the event. However, the Authority indicated that the request had not been complied with, prompting the issuance of the public disclaimer.

The Authority stressed that under the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (Act 990), all partnerships and engagements involving SIGA must receive formal approval and be backed by documented agreements.

SIGA therefore advised the public, sponsors, exhibitors and prospective participants not to interpret the use of its name or logo as an endorsement or affiliation with the event.

The Authority also called on media organizations and broadcasters promoting the summit to take note of the disclaimer and refrain from presenting SIGA as a partner institution.

SIGA reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, institutional integrity and properly constituted engagements that support Ghana’s economic development agenda.
