The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the fixtures for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, with defending champions Medeama SC set to begin the defence of their title away to Dreams FC.
The new campaign, which will feature 18 clubs competing over 34 matches, is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of September 4–7, 2026, and conclude in late May 2027.
Record league champions Asante Kotoko will open their season with an away fixture against newly promoted Debibi United, while rivals Hearts of Oak also face a difficult start on the road against Berekum Chelsea.
Newcomers Swedru All Blacks have been handed a challenging opening assignment away to Basake Holy Stars, as Vision FC host Young Apostles.
Elsewhere, Port City will take on FC AshantiGold, Samartex welcome Karela United, Bechem United host Gold Stars, and Heart of Lions entertain Aduana FC.

The fixture list also promises several high-profile encounters in the opening weeks of the season.
On Matchday Two, champions Medeama will host Port City, while Asante Kotoko take on Heart of Lions in another standout clash.
Week Four will see Medeama face Basake Holy Stars, with Kotoko hosting Aduana FC in another eagerly anticipated fixture.
The biggest match of the first round is scheduled for Week 13, when traditional rivals Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak renew their historic rivalry.

The reverse fixture will be played during the second half of the season.
The first round of the campaign will run from Week One to Week 17, with each club playing every opponent once before the reverse fixtures begin in the second round.
With the fixtures now confirmed, clubs will intensify preparations for what is expected to be another fiercely contested Ghana Premier League season.
