One person lost their life and two others were injured when a truck overturned at the Breku Forest near the Pra River along the Accra–Kumasi Highway on Sunday, leaving three occupants trapped in the vehicle.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said a joint rescue team from the Konongo–Odumase and Juaso Fire Stations, led by Sub-Officer Siaw Richardson, swiftly responded to the incident.
Fire personnel rescued two victims who sustained injuries and handed them over to ambulance services for onward transfer to the Juaso Government Hospital for medical treatment. The body of the deceased was later recovered from the wreckage and formally handed over to the Police.
The accident caused extensive damage to the front section of the truck. Authorities have since launched investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
