MTN Ghana has rewarded three customers with brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicles as the first winners of its MTN @ 30 Consumer Promo.
The presentation took place in Accra, as part of activities marking the company’s 30th anniversary.
The winners are Cephas Kwadwo Mensah Daben from Zone One in the Oti Region, Moses Akowuah from Zone Two in the Western North Region, and Musah Aleeba Alenka from the Upper East Region.
The three customers emerged as the first grand prize winners of the promotion, which is expected to reward up to 30,000 customers across the country.
The Chief Customer Experience Officer of MTN Ghana, Mrs Jemima Kotei-Walsh, said six more brand new Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles would be presented to customers before the promotion ended.
She explained that the promotion was not based on a traditional game of chance or a random draw, but on customers’ regular use of MTN services.
She said customers accumulated points through activities such as making voice calls, sending text messages, browsing the internet, purchasing bundles, buying SME bundles and undertaking Mobile Money transactions.
“The promotion is accessible to all our customers. They just have to spend, buy airtime, use data, keep browsing, do Mobile Money transactions and buy bundles to be eligible to participate in the awards,” she said.
Mrs Kotei-Walsh said the points and rankings were reset every month, giving customers fresh opportunities to win prizes throughout the promotional period.
She said, in addition to the nine Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles, customers could win cash prizes of up to GH¢30,000, lifestyle rewards and millions of cedis worth of data prizes.
“There are still opportunities for customers as the promo is reset every month. They should keep spending and using the network to stand a chance of winning one of these vehicles,” she said.
Mrs Kotei-Walsh said MTN had put in place measures to ensure that the selection of winners was credible and transparent.

She said the process involved the company’s internal controls as well as an independent auditing firm.
She said the validation process was rigorous and assured customers that the prizes were genuine.
Mrs Kotei-Walsh said the Consumer Promo was the company’s way of expressing appreciation to more than 32 million Ghanaians who had used its services over the past three decades.
She said MTN’s growth had been supported by its customers, partners, stakeholders and employees across the country.
“MTN does not belong to MTN alone. It belongs to the more than 32 million Ghanaians who have made MTN part of their lives,” she said.
Mrs Kotei-Walsh congratulated the first three winners and urged other customers to continue using MTN services.
She said customers could check their points and rankings and take advantage of the remaining opportunities to win.
The MTN Consumer Promo forms part of activities marking the company’s 30th anniversary under the theme, “30 years of progress, powered by you.”
