The Deputy Director of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), congratulated the graduates for their perseverance and hard work over the course of their university journey.

He acknowledged that access to tertiary has expanded in the country, but cautioned that “expansion without quality is a risk we cannot afford,” hence the strong emphasis on quality assurance, relevance and employability, and ensuring that institutions do  not merely produce graduates, but  develop human capital that is aligned with national development priorities and the needs of the job market.

He said, “the  future of Ghana depends not simply on the number of graduates we produce, but on how well -prepared they are to confront and solve real life challenges. He commended SIIMT for their timely focus on technology, innovation and industry-oriented education.

Ghana, he said is not immune to cybercrime and other digital threats, thus, the knowledge and skills they have acquired position them as key players in safeguarding the nations digital future.

He said, “use your expertise ethically. Acquire skills to solve real world problems. Protect, rather than exploit systems, for technology without ethics is more dangerous than ignorance.”

The Founder and Rector of SIIMT, Dr Raju Sonavane, told the students, “education is not just about earning a degree. The purpose of education is not to make a living, but to make a difference in society.”

He admonished the students to be disciplined as they step into the world outside of academic pursuit, as  life outside campus will not be easy.

He urged them not to rest on their oars, but to strive for consistent improvements they pursue their dreams.

Dr Sonavane said, “dream big, start small, but never stop moving forward. There is nothing like rest if you have a big dream.”

He also encouraged them to remain humble no matter the level of success they attain, and use their acquired knowledge to build up and protect society.

The Chairman of the Governing Council of the school, Eng. Sanjay Sonavane, reiterated the calls to the graduates to never stop learning and strive for excellence.
