Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu and Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology Mohammed Adams Sukparu are in stable condition after a road accident involving their convoy.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Education on February 12, 2026, said the accident occurred on the Bolgatanga–Tumu road while the ministers and their teams were travelling to the Upper West Region.
The statement said the ministers were en route to official engagements to mark the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education when the incident happened.
It noted that all members of the convoy were in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical attention.
The ministry expressed appreciation to emergency responders, health professionals and members of the public for their swift assistance and concern, adding that further updates would be communicated as necessary.
