Mohamed Kudus is expected to be sidelined until April after sustaining an injury during Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash with Sunderland.
The 25-year-old forward was forced off while clearly in pain, and medical checks have since confirmed a hamstring injury that will require a cautious recovery period.
Since completing his move from West Ham United, Kudus has brought energy and imagination to Tottenham’s attack. His five assists this season place him among the league’s top creators, trailing only Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Manchester City’s Ryan Cherki and Everton’s Jack Grealish.
His absence presents a major setback for Spurs at a crucial stage of the campaign. With Champions League qualification in sight, Thomas Frank’s side must now find solutions to replace Kudus’s flair, ball-carrying ability and incisive passing.
The injury also raises concerns for Ghana ahead of the 2026 World Cup in June. Limited game time in the months leading up to the tournament could affect Kudus’s match sharpness, potentially complicating Black Stars coach Otto Addo’s plans as he finalises his squad and tactical approach.
