Kevin Okyere Foundation brings relief to children and mothers at 37

The Kevin  Okyere Foundation, in an act of  humanitarianism, has donated several items to patients at the Children’s, and Maternity wards of the 37 Military hospital.

The items included food items, toys, and learning materials for the children, while those in the maternity wards received toiletries, pads, and food items among others.

The items were received on behalf of the hospital and patients by the Officer in Charge of the Welfare Committee of the hospital, Lieutenant Colonel Jacob Sandow who expressed the gratitude of the hospital and that of the patients to the Foundation for the generous gesture.

The Foundation also footed the hospital bills of all underprivileged patients currently on admission at the Children’s ward and the maternity ward.

The Founder and Chairman of the Foundation, Kevin Okyere, commended the hospital staff for their hard work and commitment to bringing  relief to their patients.

In a brief remark to the media following the exercise, Kevin Okyere explained that the gesture is in keeping with the foundation’s regular donation drive, as a philanthropic organisation that has been engaging in such acts all over the country.

In particular reference to the 37 Military hospital, he stated that the Foundation and the Hospital have a long-standing partnership, spanning more than 10 years of regular philanthropic work.

He disclosed that beyond the donation of these items, the foundation is considering how it can help hospital authorities expand the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the hospital, by providing them with incubator, a physical expansion of the current facility or building a new ward altogether.
