BENCHH 2024, the first Built Environment National Conference on Housing and Hydrology, has opened in Accra.

With the subject “Enhancing Collaboration to Tackle Ghana’s Housing and Hydrology Challenges,” the event will be hosted at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.

Gathering experts, decision-makers, and interested parties, this event is scheduled for July 2–4. Its goal is to use innovation and teamwork to address some of Ghana’s most urgent built environment issues.

Promoting cooperation between industry professionals, legislators, researchers, financiers, and other important stakeholders is the main objective of BENCHH 2024.

Speaking at the occasion, the deputy minister of works and housing emphasized how important it is to work together to solve problems like floods, managing water resources, providing affordable housing, and building resilience in infrastructure.

Dr. Prince Hamid Armah stated “By working together, we can develop innovative and sustainable solutions to the hydrology and housing challenges that impact our nation.”

Participants in the conference will engage in lively debates and workshops aimed at identifying workable, real-world solutions.

With a confident demeanor, Dr. Armah said, “We will be focusing on addressing issues like flooding, water resource management, affordable housing, and infrastructure resilience.”
