Gambaga, North East Region – Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has cut the sod for the construction of a modern sports complex in Gambaga, amidst excitement and cheers from the local community.

The sports complex, which is expected to be completed in five months, will feature state-of-the-art facilities for football, basketball, volleyball, and other sports. The project is aimed at promoting sports development and providing a hub for youth talent discovery and development in the region.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of sports in promoting physical health, discipline, and national unity. He commended the contractors, Wembley Sports, for their commitment to delivering the project on time and pledged government’s support for the development of sports infrastructure across the country.

The Chief of Gambaga, Naa Bohagu Mahami III, expressed gratitude to the Vice President and the government for bringing the project to the community, saying it will create opportunities for the youth and promote economic growth in the area.

The sod-cutting ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, sports enthusiasts, and youth groups, who all hailed the project as a game-changer for the region’s sports development.
