BOST Energies names Nat Acheampong as deputy MD

Mr Nat Salifu Acheampong, a communications and brand strategist, has been appointed Deputy Managing Director of Bulk Energy Storage and Transportation Limited (BOST Energies).

His appointment follows more than two decades of experience in journalism and corporate communications, spanning newsroom leadership, academia, media relations and strategic communications within the energy sector.

A statement issued said the appointment recognised competence and dedication and promoted inclusive national representation.

Until his appointment, Mr Acheampong served for 12 years as Corporate Communications and External Affairs Manager at Bulk Energy Storage and Transportation Limited, where he led initiatives to strengthen the company’s public image and brand positioning in support of operational performance and stakeholder confidence.

He began his journalism career in 1994 as a parliamentary correspondent with Revalap Publications Limited, publishers of the Ghana Palaver newspaper, and later joined Democrat Publications Limited, publishers of the Ghanaian Democrat newspaper, as a political correspondent.

Between 1999 and 2001, he worked with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation Radio News, rising to Deputy News Editor, before moving into academia and international media engagement.

Mr Acheampong served as Lecturer and Communications Manager at New College Nottingham and High Pavement Sixth Form College in Nottingham, where he taught media studies. He also worked as Media Relations Executive at Heathcote School in Chingford, London.

He holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester. He also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy from the University of Nottingham, an Executive Graduate Certificate in Managing Energy Transition from the University of Texas, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Nottingham Trent University, and a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

Meanwhile, Alhassan Umar, Member of Parliament for Zabzugu, together with constituency executives and residents, expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing two natives of the area to national positions.

The statement welcomed Mr Acheampong’s appointment and commended the appointment of Mr Khalid Abdul Rauf as Board Chairman of the VRA Resettlement Trust Fund.

It said Mr Acheampong’s roots in the Yelzoli traditional area made the appointment significant for the people of Zabzugu and adjoining communities and expressed confidence that his new role would support local and national development.

The statement conveyed gratitude for what it described as thoughtful and strategic appointments, saying the selections had strengthened confidence among supporters and constituents.
