A book: ‘The Immigration Formulae: Rules, Packaging and Strategy’ has been launched to guide people who want to migrate to abroad, especially to the United States.
The book was authored by Wonder Victor Kutor, a lawyer, and a board member of the Volta River Authority. It was launched by Justice E. Yonny Kulendi, who was the chairman of the event held in Accra.
Mr Edward Yaw Udzu, the President of the Ghana Publishers Association in a welcoming address said the programme was not merely launching of a book, but knowledge, guidance, and hope.
He said, “Immigration has become one of the most quietly discussed subjects in our society today, Across Ghana and Africa continent many young professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and families seek opportunities beyond their borders.
“Yet, the pathway for lawful migration often misunderstood, confused, and sometimes surrounded by misinformation.”
Mr Udzu said in many conversations about travelling abroad, people relied on rumours, hearsay, and rhetorics of agents, adding “However, this book replaces rumours with rules, confusion with clarity, and with uncertainty with strategy.
“This is why this publication is good and important – it simplifies what is perceived as very complex within the legal area, it explains the rules covering immigration, the strategic packaging of application, and lawful pathway to obtain visas and residents status in the United States.”
He noted that what makes the publication more important is that it goes beyond theory, particularly it provides valuable practical insights of different categories of visas and needed requirements attached to temporary status to permanent status.
“We as publishers believed that this book is not pages bind together, these are tools for empowerment, transformation, tools to keep aspirations and opportunities. This book is a bridge between ambition and lawful opportunities,” he stated.
Justice Kulendi on his part said the book truly promised to be an invaluable resource in the aspect of today’s reality that affected millions of individuals, communities, or families of countries across the world.
“The author provides an answer to the information and knowledge gap between the ambitions, dreams and plains of prospective immigrants and non-immigrants the world over,” he stated.
He said migration was vital and inevitable to today’s world because it boosted economies, addressed labour shortages in nation’s societies, fostered innovations through diverse fields, and skilled transfers.
“Therefore, migration and work that provides information, education, guidance, as to how you can effectively migrate whether as non-migrant or emigrant is an invaluable resource,” he said.
Justice Kulendi commended the author for the launch of the book and urged the public to patronise it.
Mr Wonder Victor Kutor, the author expressed gratitude to all who contributed in diverse ways in the publication of the book.
