300 students, 200 teachers to receive MTN Ghana Foundation scholarships

The MTN Ghana Foundation will award 500 scholarships to brilliant but needy students and teachers in public tertiary institutions in October 2026, reaffirming its commitment to education, youth empowerment and national development.

The scholarships are aimed at easing the financial burden of education and professional development, enabling beneficiaries to pursue their academic ambitions, enhance their skills and realise their full potential.

Of the 500 scholarships, 300 will be awarded to students, while 200 will support teachers seeking to advance their academic qualifications and professional development.

The awards will be presented at ceremonies in two locations to cater for beneficiaries in the southern and northern sectors of the country.

The Southern Sector ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra, while the Northern Sector ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) campus in Kumasi.

The ceremonies will celebrate the achievements of the beneficiaries and underscore the importance of education in developing human capital and shaping Ghana’s future.

The initiative also forms part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of connecting people, expanding opportunities and improving lives.

Through the scholarship programme, the MTN Ghana Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting education and empowering individuals to contribute meaningfully to national development, in line with MTN’s vision of being a force for good.
