Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA), an aspiring Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has received a major endorsement from the Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo Constituency Chairman, Osei Poku Victor, who has urged delegates and the party’s youth to back his bid, describing him as the leader best positioned to unite and empower the party ahead of the 2028 general election.
Addressing party faithful at Bekwai during COKA’s ongoing Hope Tour, Chairman Victor said Odeneho Kwaku Appiah had consistently demonstrated commitment to the welfare and development of young people within the party and possessed the leadership qualities needed to strengthen the NPP in the Ashanti Region.
He said COKA had supported many young party members over the years and was therefore well placed to mobilise the youth for the party’s campaign towards victory in the 2028 elections.
“COKA is someone who wants the NPP in Ashanti to grow,” Chairman Victor said, adding that the youth would be safe under his leadership because of his commitment to their development and the growth of the party in the region.
The Bekwai meeting formed part of COKA’s Hope Tour, an outreach campaign aimed at reconnecting with grassroots members, delegates and party supporters across the Ashanti Region ahead of the party’s internal elections.
Also speaking at the gathering, the Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre South, Damata Salam, paid glowing tribute to COKA, crediting him with playing a pivotal role in her political journey.
She said COKA recognised her potential early in her political career and provided the guidance and support that helped her rise to Parliament.
“If I am where I am today, it is because of Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah. He identified my potential and guided me to become who I am today,” she said.
The MP praised COKA’s inclusive leadership style, saying he had always created opportunities for people to contribute to the growth of the party regardless of their background.
She recalled her days as the constituency Women’s Organiser, saying COKA empowered her by giving her responsibilities and a platform to grow within the party.
According to her, his leadership enabled her to build confidence and become an influential figure in the constituency.
Chairman Victor echoed those sentiments, describing COKA as a principled leader with a strong sense of purpose, vision and focus.
He urged delegates to rally behind his candidature, insisting that the Ashanti Region needed a leader capable of uniting the party, strengthening its grassroots structures and positioning it for electoral success in 2028.
He maintained that COKA’s experience, leadership credentials and commitment to the welfare of party members made him the right choice to lead the NPP in the Ashanti Region.
