The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher of the Bole Senior High School (SHS) for an alleged sexual misconduct with a female student.
The Service directed that the teacher be interdicted in accordance with its rules and regulations, pending investigations into the matter.
A release from the GES, signed by Mr Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations said the matter was being treated with the utmost seriousness and that further updates, where necessary, would be provided as investigations progressed.
It stressed that the Service was committed to ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of all students within the educational system.
The statement reiterated the Service’s zero-tolerance towards sexual misconduct and cautioned all staff to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct at all times.
“Appropriate disciplinary and legal action will be taken against any individual found culpable,” it added.
