The Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment exercise for health professionals, effective April 16, 2026, following the receipt of financial clearance.
In a statement signed by the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Tony Goodman, the recruitment process will be decentralised and conducted at the district level, based on verified staffing needs.
The Ministry indicated that the exercise will be competitive and transparent, guided by an approved quota system across all cadres and year groups, and undertaken within existing budgetary limits.
Qualified health professionals have been advised to monitor official Ministry of Health and district health administration platforms for vacancy announcements and application procedures. Applicants are also encouraged to prepare the necessary documentation in advance of the recruitment process.
According to the Ministry, the financial clearance is valid until December 31, 2026, within which all recruitment activities are expected to be completed.
The Ministry urged eligible professionals to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to strengthening healthcare delivery across the country.
