The Police have contacted Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, asking for information that will help with an ongoing investigation into the untimely death of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale.

This resulted from A-Plus’s claims on social media that he has relevant information about the case.

He asserts to know the identities of those accountable for the journalist’s death.

During a Facebook live session on July 13, he said that he was aware of the identities of the individuals who murdered Ahmed Husein Suale. He made it clear that, should the need arise, he is always prepared and available to support his assertion.

The independent parliamentary candidate for Gomoa Central has reportedly received an invitation from the police, which states as follows: “The Cold Case Unit, which was created in October 2021 under the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to handle cases of this nature, has been working on the investigation into the case and closely engaging with the deceased’s family.

“Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has been invited in light of his indication that he may have information that could aid the ongoing investigation, which the Police are pleased to hear.”

Choosing to involve him underscores the importance of any leads or evidence he may have that could help the inquiry along.

The passing of Ahmed Suale has continued to be closely watched and cause for concern in Ghana, especially among journalists.

As the inquiry goes on, working with people like A-Plus highlights how dedicated the authorities

are to obtaining justice and a complete understanding of what happened before Suale passed away.

The public’s collaboration in revealing the truth behind Ahmed Suale’s passing is crucial, and it is demonstrated by the engagement of prominent personalities such as A-Plus, who claimed to know important information.

Together, these factors will help to provide closure to this unfortunate tragedy.
